Short Description
- A National Voluntary Adult education association, with many branches throughout the country. It was founded in 1903.

Membership Open

Who may join / be involved? - Anyone with an interest in Local History, History, Art History.

Where do we meet? - Parish Room, Northgate, Tickhill

When do we meet? - Tuesday & Friday afternoons fortnightly from the Autumn.

The courses are non-vocational and there are no entry qualifications and exams. They are aimed at people wanting to make fuller use of their leisure time and also at those seeking new horizons.

The WEA has a long legacy of providing lectures and courses for the residents of Tickhill.

Tom Beastall, Peter Tillot, Derek Holland, Sarah Holland and Rachel Holland have been connected with this. Today, enthusiastic groups meet to explore history, local history and art history. Illustrated lectures, group discussion, visits and even project work take place.
