Chinese Herbal Remedies
Chinese Herbal Remedies come from nature, and arc what we call Natural Organic Medicines from which our body can get all its required needs in a form to supplement our natural foods, and in a way, which the body was designed to accept. They include all types of plant material such as: seeds, roots, leaves, barks, flowers, stems and fruits. As all of them are natural medicines, they are filled with life themselves, and each organism contains rich and complex compounds. The herbs are chosen by a qualified and experienced doctor, according to his diagnosis and can be made into many different prescriptions, which will each have a unique required effect. Chinese herbs, which we use, do not contain any toxic, steroids, drugs and animals, and do not interfere with western medicines. You start by taking the Chinese herbs everyday. As treatment continues, our doctors closely monitor your progress.

Through regular consultations, altering the prescriptions are different, treatment can vary from a few weeks to several months. After a period of treatment you are able to stop taking the herbs. The main objective of Chinese Natural Healing Centre is to integrate Chinese and western medicine. We therefore welcome all first time clients, but if you have any queries, you can contact your OP or alternatively call us for free advice.

Traditional Chinese Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an important component of TCM, which includes four aspects: The meridians and collaterals, acupoints, manipulating methods and clinical treatment. It is a practical science of preventing and treating diseases with acupuncture under the guidance of TCM theory.

With such advantages as a wide range of indications, distinct curative effects, simple application and safety etc, acupuncture has been very popular in the world, and it has made a great contribution to the prosperity of the Chinese nation for 3000 years. In the late 17th century acupuncture came to Europe. So far, acupuncture is used and studied in more than 100 countries all over the world.

Acupuncture is not pain free, but it is not as painful as injections or blood tests. We use the needles, which are sterile and disposable. There is therefore no possibility that aids and hepatitis could be transmitted. If you do not like needles, alternatively Moxibustion, Cupping, Massage, and Reflexology can also help.

Which conditions can Chinese Medicine help with.
Chinese Medicine can be helpful in a variety of chronic or periodic conditions, such as low back pain, neuralgia, migraine, premenstrual and perimenopausal syndromes, and pain related problems resulting from arthritis and rheumatism. Various syndromes that are difficult to treat only using herbal medicine such as the various fibromyalgia syndromes, ME, MS, sciatica, IBS, infertility and stress. Many respond well to combile acupuncture, even Chinese massage and reflexology. Acupuncture is usually used as an addition in the treatment of asthma, allergies, psoriasis, hay fever and other problems of the immune system.

How does the Chinese Medicine help with the following conditions?

Menopause:
The patients experience more than 20 symptoms such as: hot flushes, night sweating, headache migraine jointacheand mood swings.
Chinese herbs and acupuncture are very effective in restoring and balancing the hormonal system. If HRT must be used we can also help to reduce the side effects.

Infertility:
For women who are experiencing disorders of conception.
My own experience suggests that acupuncture and Chinese herbology is more effective and much less unpleasant and dangerous than hormonal treatment.

Arthritis:
In Chinese medicine the treatment of arthritis is divided into two types.
Herbal medicine is effective in reducing the swelling in acute arthritis. Acupuncture is usually good for helping to relieve the pain.

Acne:
Acne is a very common problem for young people, especially during adolescence, but occasionally persists beyond the teenage years. TCM regards it as a problem of damp heat, which is brought about either by overeating hot and damp food, or as the result of the digestive and hormonal system being imbalanced.
Chinese herbs are used to purify the blood, and in most cases acne can be very successfully treated; a special diet will be recommended.

Thrush:
TCM treat this as a problem of damp in the body usually internal damp caused by an infection of fungus.
Herbs are a very effective treatment.

Alcoholism:
Consumed in large quantities, alcohol is a poison, which destroys brain cells, and can adversely affect every organ in the body. Once the addiction develops, the body can become so dependent upon alcohol that it is unable to function without it. Symptoms include depression, loss of memory, blackouts and hallucinations. The diagnosis in TCM is that excessive alcohol consumption causes too much heat in the body, damaging the liver and stomach.
Acupuncture is very helpful in giving up this addiction. Herbs would be used to take the heat out of the liver and detoxify the blood.

Depression:
There are two types of depression, the kind that stems from pressing problems or emotional upsets such as unemployment, dept, divorce, or bereavement etc. The second type results from a chemical imbalance in the brain. TCM sees depression principally as a problem caused by liver Qi stagnation, and thus the treatment would balance the Qi and liver.
The holistic approach of TCM will involve the use of herb, acupuncture and acupressure to correct the chemical imbalance of the body, after which the depression will lift on its own.

Smoking and Drug Abuse:
Acupuncture can help to move the perception for the taste of cigarette and drugs.
Calm down the body and remove the anxiety behind many peoples smoking and drug abuse.

Hair Loss:
TCM consider that hair is nourished by the blood and by the essence of the kidney.
So treatment will involve tonifying both of them.

Blood Pressure:
Both high and low blood pressure can be treated successfully by TCM.
The herbs and acupuncture are. often very helpful in controlling the blood pressure.
