Doncaster wishes to make a contribution to a national programme marking the 60th anniversary of the end of the second world war. This will take the form of a book to be published later this year. The Library Service, the Museum, Schools and other organisations will be involved and it is hoped that people will share their memories and reminiscences of that momentous period and its impact on Doncaster's citizens.
